What are the Benefits of Leafy Greens
The health benefits are endless and even to the skin.
They are packed with vitamins and minerals including vitamin K, which means they are good for all the organs of our body and including our bones. They help fight life threatening diseases, such as heart disease and/or cancer. They keep the immune system in proper working order. Some of them have beta-carotene, vital for the skin as it turns into vitamin A. They are, for the most part, alkaline foods and therefore help reduce acidity in the body and in turn this keeps the body in good health. They are anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, will help your eyesigh, will keep the blood flowing nicely and stop the bones from creaking!!
Of course, we must eat a varied diet and not just leafy greens, but including them in your diet, along with other super foods, can go along way to keeping you, healthy, happy and sane.
