Gently Exfoliating Soap, Natural and Handmade

Gently exfoliating soap can be used on the face if that soap is naturally made and also is a  handmade soap with good beneficial oils, such as olive, coconut, sweet almond oil and shea butter

What Ingredients Are Good for Exfoliating?

Did I hear you ask what ingredients are good for exfoliating?  Well there are a number of ingredients that are good for exfoliating.

Poppy seeds in your handmade natural soap provides that exfoliating quality about you soap and it looks good too with these little black dots in you handmade soap that doesn't have any nasty ingredients in it.

Another good ingredient for exfoliating is ground oatmeal.  We have one soap in our range of natural handmade soaps called ylang ylang with oatmeal and honey.  The oatmeal is reputed to be very good for people with eczema but it also is a great exfoliator.  

Coffee grounds is another good exfoliator.  I used to make a bar with vanilla and coffee but haven't done so for many years now.  I used to put used gounds coffee into it.  What I wasn't pleased about was using the vanilla which was an extract and not an essential oil.  I claim that my bars of soap are natural and therefore was unsure about the extract.  Maybe I'll research it in the future to see what alternative natural fragrance I can use.

But I do have a soap with a rose clay in it - Patchouli and Palma Rosa Natural Soap with Rose Clay  

Try out seaweed as a gentle exfoliator!

All of these soaps above will offer exfoliating powers but in a gentle way.  Regular washing of your face using these soaps should help keep pores clean and give you a glowing look
